Many of our students have been busy with unit tests this week, so no new photographs I'm afraid.

If you get the chance to come into school, come up and view the display boards outside the Science room. There's some great examples of students' work done by Years 7, 8, and 9. Below is the Year 8 noticeboard on Microorganisms and Medicine.



 Here the Year 8 boys are demonstrating their electro-magnetic relay switch they built as part of their study of Magnetism.
 Once again Year 9 have been busy in the lab. Here they are investigating how physical and chemical properties change during a chemical reaction.

Last week Year 9 made  a kind of  plastic using milk protein. . They moulded it into shapes in order to study its properties. Here are some of the finished results.




 The following pictures show our Year 6 students investigating  the upthrust of water. The students  found that upthrust reduces the weight of an object, and that upthrust can be varied by increasing the volume of air inside the object.
